Food shortages around the world have left millions of people scrambling for scaps. This past October marked a global initiative towards peace in South Africa. For this initiative a group of 150 women from more than 40 countries all over the world went to Panxon (Galicia) to march for food sovereignty. South Africa has the highest HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa. The people have been trying to tackle that problem. Therefore, as 95% of the people use cell phones in the country, why not use texts to promote HIV/AiDS testing? It sure seems to be working! READ THE FULL BBC ARTICLE HERE |
