Medical schools
Monday, May 4th, 2009Medical schools today seem to have had enough of the eggheads, and they are leaning more towards people with degrees in the liberal arts and science majors who are “well- rounded.” In fact, history majors have some of the highest percentages of acceptance to medical colleges, and biology majors some of the lowest, within each of their respective groups.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you should switch your major to history, because an alternative interpretation of this statistic is possible. That is, a higher percentage of mediocre applicants are biology majors, since nearly every biology major applies to med school.
