IN THEIR SHOES

One of the two prospects that I have right now for employment is with Thorne Research. Luckily for me one of my advisors used to work there, and he was always really impressed with how dedicated I was and how hard I worked on all of our class projects. He told me to come and see him as soon as I graduated, so that day when I walked into his office I didn’t really know what to expect. But right then and there, he picked up the phone and called one of his old supervisors and got me an interview.

For the rest of my life I will be indebted to this man. With one phone call he changed the course of my life and set me off on a trajectory which will probably carry me down a very rich road. I don’t even know if I should even call the people over at Vital Nutrients because their starting salary is way beneath what I’m going to be making at this job, so why even waste the time. I know this is a little bit of an arrogant attitude to take, but I just don’t care. Making mistakes like this is what being young is all about.
